I’m Meeka Owens, a Cincinnati City Councilmember, community advocate, and candidate for Hamilton County Commissioner. I’ve dedicated my career to building a more equitable, affordable, and sustainable community.

I was raised in Cincinnati, and my commitment to public service comes directly from my lived experience and the deep roots I have in this community. Before serving on City Council, I spent years working in the nonprofit and community development sectors, advocating for families, strengthening neighborhoods, and expanding economic opportunity across our region.

On Cincinnati City Council, I’ve worked to champion affordable housing, environmental sustainability, and economic opportunity for working families. I’ve helped lead efforts to expand clean energy programs, address rising housing costs, improve neighborhood investment, and ensure that economic development benefits every resident, not just a few.

I believe government should work for everyone. That’s why my leadership has focused on keeping Hamilton County affordable, supporting healthy and safe communities, and building an economy that works for every neighborhood across all 49 jurisdictions in our county.

If elected Hamilton County Commissioner, I’m focused on delivering practical solutions that protect residents’ paychecks, expand opportunity, and strengthen our region for the next generation.
